Roleplayer of the Year: Monsilva, from taking up the mantle of cartographer for Terraconserva in May 2023 to their induction into the tech backrooms in March 2024 (related to the wiki having somewhat moderated downtime as opposed to 60%+ downtime), they've had one of the most meteoric paths of anyone primarily focused on the roleplay in their involvement. Not to downplay their involvement elsewhere- They appeared at a number of the LDF's sieges and liberation attempts.
Politician of the Year: Gagium, feels weird to nominate the person running the awards for one of the awards, but they've quickly integrated into the government and, more than integrating, actually running things. Like this event! That's admirable, NationStates has a tendency to stagnant because there's really time pressure to do things, so coming along and being the driver of governmental action is critical. They also used the culture department to wage nuclear war while the rest of government was asleep, which was quite impressive.
Terraconserva Award: Gjorka,
Entropan, and
Monsilva. Gjorka, they came in the gate swinging on the first two Terraconserva World Building events (TWB?) and really demonstrated their talent for writing wiki pages. Entropan massively improved between their first submission on the Elveklifjord inlet and their later submission for the their nation's Progressive Socialist Party. Monsilva's submission for Jingtianmen Square was great because it was a very integral part of their nation's history that got the level of attention it deserved. It was a pleasure to read all these articles.
LDF Award: Makasta,
Kivu, and
The Eltran. Makasta recently made it to 1000 updates in Libcord, Kivu is now in update command, and The Eltran has been a prolific updater. All three are exemplar LDF members.
Welcomer Award: Kivu is often the first person that people integrating into the region's culture will be interacting with, much to the dismay of people with the RPer mentor role now that their name has been updated and the Forum Monitor doesn't recognize it (which is fine, we should be handling more of this!).
