Overview

The Terraconserva Roleplay Association (TRA) is The League and Concord’s worldbuilding-focused roleplay! Since it’s establishment in 2019, Terraconserva has served as a focal point for regional engagement, and has been referenced in several pieces of legislation recognized by the World Assembly, and currently has over 40 nations on the map!

Roleplaying is primarily done by making Wikipedia-style pages on our regional wiki, current events are posted on The League’s Regional Message Board (RMB), and planning and coordination is done in the TRA channels on the regional discord server.

Applying to Join

Every prospective player is asked to answer some start-up questions. These questions establish the basic information for your RP nation, as well as help us determine where you would belong on our map. Your answers do not have to correlate with your NationStates stats, but you can use some of them as inspiration if you so desire. To officially sign up, please respond in this thread with your answers to the below questions.

General Information (important)

Please be realistic and reasonable, roleplay staff will help you work out finer details based on your responses. You can change some answers later if need be, this is just to get you started.

1. What is your country's name? Valia Karova
   
2. What is your capital city's name? Port Kerry
   
3. What population should your nation have? (Disclaimer: should be *under* 100 million) Approx.population is 16 million
   
4. What government type is your country in present day? (Republic, dictatorship, etc.) The government is a representative democracy by name, as the Supreme Executive is elected through a chamber of electorate representatives from the various counties and districts. However, unlike many modern western democracies, there are no term limitsand elections are not regularly held. Elections are only held if each district has a majority vote for a petition to elect a new leader. Anyone can run for office, but the current leader has been known to be less than fair about opposition.
   
5. What is your nation's main language and culture?I would like for them to speak their own native language, Carovi, a cursive script based language with characters that build onto each other to create more detailed thoughts. It will loosely be based on Irish Gaelic, but not using roman characters. Likely taking the sounds and vowel structure from Irish, and maybe some loanwords, but mostly unique.
   Culture is fairly conservative with a strong emphasis on patriotism and nationality. They are very militarized with every citizen being required to do 2 years of minimum service in the Carovi Defense Force. They are heavily religious believing in their own national faith that believes their land to be the holiest land. The religion focuses on nine gods who control various aspects of life. Seafood is the primary meat, as the majority of cities are along the coast. They are still very agrarian and have a lot of farmland, where they supply the majority of their own food.

   I would like the rest of the island Daesdain is on, and the capital city should be along the southern coast
   

Take your time and really think about your answers to these questions. Your answers can be changed at a later date, but the more thought and detail you put into your answers will really help you in the long run.
