Founding Day by JSouthwestern Germany

On March 6th, Europeia celebrating Founding Day in the form of a festival celebrating its 18th year of being founded as a region. There was a persistent running joke of Europeia finally reaching the age of adulthood as participants gave speeches, did activities like decorating a room, picking the design of a cake which was baked by one of our citizens Istillian, and a radio show. As our founder HEM so eloquently said:

“As of today, our region is an adult. But I think we've been easing into adulthood for some time. We are not perfect. There is always room for someone new to rattle the cage and challenge us. And if that's you, please do so! But we should be proud of where we are. I know sure as hell that I am.”

Diplomatic Updates by Southwestern Germany

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been incredibly busy this past month! This includes; we helped coordinate the Modern Gameplay’s Response in the Wellspring where we prevented it from being seized by Raider Unity Forces, reaffirmed our ties with Thaecia by granting them access to our Asperta recruitment technology and agreeing to doing a cultural activity together between our two regions, and also granted The Outback access to our Asperta recruitment technology and deployed a few pilers to support their Delegate. Additionally, President GK has repealed our policy to only open gameside embassies with treatied allies! We are now open for business for opening up gameside embassies with other friendly regions considering that their World Assembly Delegate has at least 50 endorsements.

Presidential Election! by Amalteia

Europeia wakes once more to a new day, in a new term, as the February/March 2025 Europeian Presidential Elections conclude. The result is clear: the dynamic duo of Grea Kriopia and Sincluda is here to stay. Having earned the trust and confidence of 87.7 % of the votes, re-opening elections (ROE) was deemed unnecessary by a crushing majority of the voter base.

The total number of votes cast in this election was fifty-eight, sixteen less votes than in the previous December 2024 Europeian Presidential Elections. The election itself was uncontested, with Grea Kriopia and Sincluda running unopposed. While this assured their victory, this was potentially a direct cause to the lower voter turnout compared to the previous election. Without competition, some voters may have felt less urgency to cast their ballots, leading to a smaller, but nonetheless decisive, result.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding this election, such as the lack of an active political rival competing for the Presidency, GK and Sin have prepared another outstanding platform and worked hard to outline a clear plan for the upcoming term.

Tech Update by UPC

The end of March was a busy period for Europeian tech development. In the waning days of the month, Delegate and Techncial Architect UPC announced the creation of three new tools to aid in regional development.

m0use, named after Honoured Citizen Mousebumples, is designed to seek out Europeian residents that have recruitment telegrams enabled and remind them to turn those off.

v1nage, named after Honoured Citizen Delegate vinage, watches the region's activity feed for new World Assembly members, and posts a Discord alert when one is spotted. The tool also automatically telegrams these nations requesting that they endorse the Delegate.

Finally, s0limaria is named after infamous early Europeian citizen Solimaria, who was known for attempting to poach players for his own region. S0limaria targets hostile regions with retaliatory recruitment.

All three of these tools build on top of eurocore, Europeia's scheduling and resource management API.

? Culture Highlight: Launch of Community Night

On March 29th, Europeia hosted its first ever Community Night started by President Grea Kriopia with over twelve participants playing games like Rocket Bot Royale and Smash Karts for a couple of hours. President GK introduced the idea a couple of weeks ago with a poll to determine availability in an effort to set up simple, consistent hangout times in the Europeian discord for anyone interested. Other than the Europeians present, friends from The League & Concord and The Region That Has No Big Banks joined in and only a few friendships were lost over Rocket Bot Royale.
