Hello Entropan! I'm so glad you've expressed an interest in joining the RP. I don't have the opportunity to watch the whole video you posted at this time, so I'll take your word that you are trialing a system of government I am unfamiliar with. I assume that there is at least a parliament of some sort?
Also Reyk is right, 536 million is too big, we don't use NS stats in this RP, the largest population is 510 million. That plus, the map area you have chosen is quite far north, it wouldn't be able to sustain such a large population. Try something lower, along the lines of the nordic countries. Ten to twenty million perhaps.

19 million is fine for my population, I was confused as to what a standard population size would be

Also, there is a sort of 'parliament' in participatory polity in the form of the national council, but powers are very devolved so they only tackle very national matters

Also, in response to Reyk, there is not much of a counterpart to my culture as I haven't thought about it much (more focused on policy-type matters), and I am willing to just have Absi, Leintan, and Esperanto as the main languages.
