I would like to begin by acknowledging the outstanding work of my predecessor, Entropan, during her relatively brief but impactful tenure as Director of Internal Affairs, playing a significant role in revitalizing the Question of the Day and making substantial contributions to the recruitment program.
As the new director, I will continue the initiatives started by Entropan, with a focus on our beloved recruitment program, ensuring it remains active and effective. Moreover, I will strengthen the regional economy by introducing new incentives that encourage wider participation in TL&C’s activities and ensure that contributors are fairly compensated. Immediately, I thank my predecessor in this role, New San Antonio, for his splendid role in getting the recruitment program up and running again, and introducing the economy system. I dearly look forward to building on the strong foundations that have been set already. And I thank Chief Consul Kivu, Consul Gagium, and Consul Spode, for giving me a superb opportunity to get further involved in the regional government and serve the community I’ve been a part of for the better part of the past three years.

My priority will be on workshopping an overhaul of the economy system. In order for payment to act as an incentive for people to get involved with recruitment, the money has to amount to something. While I don’t wish to repeat the failures that caused the economy to be removed last time, I will actively look into ways to make it more interactive, looking at exemplary and less exemplary economies from abroad, and integrating a plan that I hope to formalise by the turn of the year. I look forward to working with the Internal Deputies in achieving this, as well as making the Question of the Day system more sustainable long-term, with broader input. And finally, as a matter that I discussed during the elections for Speaker in August, I’ll finally be looking into establishing a statutory basis for paying members of the League’s Defence Forces for participation in operations, working with Chief Consul Kivu and General New Makasta towards that end. First of all, much thanks is due to the Consulate in the auspices of Chief Consul Kivu, Consul Spode, and Consul Gagium for honoring the Council of the Republic's petition and for appointing me to the role of Director of Roleplay. I will do my best to live up to their expectations. Having a lengthy history of service with The League and Concord's government and community, this new role is one I feel prepared for. I will do my best to make the TL&C roleplay a fun, interactive experience.

 As Director, I want to say first off, that the functionality of the roleplay will not change much, our RP staff, will still be RP staff, the wiki will still be the wiki, and tra-general will stay tra-general. I have some ideas for RP events that will be refined and may be implemented soon, only the structure is slightly changing. Twelve days ago, on the 4th of May, a frontier by the name of Lonia Kreptia Llor (LKL) was invaded by a coalition of so-called frontierists, featuring Carcassonne, the NPO, and LWU. The LDF sent a total of 29 unique updaters, the second-most of any sieging military, across 4 sieges to storm the beaches of LKL.

The 4th and final siege, went down in history as the largest liberation in NationStates history, as a total of 220 updaters, including a siege high 22 from the LDF, liberated the region from its captors, and returned it to native control.

Plains of Perdition Awards
As the vast sea of grass that covers the plains turned from green to yellow, before finally turning brown, ahead of the rapidly approaching winter season. Another change swept across the plains. The forces of light, long oppressed by their hellish and dark occupiers, were at last able to reclaim control of their homeland, pushing those who occupied them back into the dark depths of the underworld from which they had come.



Sinker regions are game-created regions, commonly known as GCRs, where nations go after being ejected from other regions. Before the additions of The Plains of Perdition (PoP), along with its sister region, the Outback on November 26th, The Rejected Realms was the game’s only sinker region.



The addition of new GCRs is a rare and historic event, PoP and the Outback are the first GCRs to be added to the game since 2011, when the regions that are now known as Restorer regions were added to the game. Furthermore, gaining and maintaining control of these regions is a very important accomplishment.



The LDF was alerted of this development and sprung into action, ultimately deploying 24 enlisted members of the LDF and 4 civilians to ensure the stability and security of the Plains of Perdition’s new provisional government.



We thank everyone for their efforts; the following ribbon is awarded to everyone who participated in this deployment. We ask that those who participated in this operation remain piling in the Plains of Perdition until they receive orders to do otherwise. Additional pilers are not needed, so those who did not participate in the operation should remain in their respective regions.

Plains of Perdition Awards
As the vast sea of grass that covers the plains turned from green to yellow, before finally turning brown, ahead of the rapidly approaching winter season. Another change swept across the plains. The forces of light, long oppressed by their hellish and dark occupiers, were at last able to reclaim control of their homeland, pushing those who occupied them back into the dark depths of the underworld from which they had come.



Sinker regions are game-created regions, commonly known as GCRs, where nations go after being ejected from other regions. Before the additions of The Plains of Perdition (PoP), along with its sister region, the Outback on November 26th, The Rejected Realms was the game’s only sinker region.



The addition of new GCRs is a rare and historic event, PoP and the Outback are the first GCRs to be added to the game since 2011, when the regions that are now known as Restorer regions were added to the game. Furthermore, gaining and maintaining control of these regions is a very important accomplishment.



The LDF was alerted of this development and sprung into action, ultimately deploying 24 enlisted members of the LDF and 4 civilians to ensure the stability and security of the Plains of Perdition’s new provisional government.



We thank everyone for their efforts; the following ribbon is awarded to everyone who participated in this deployment. We ask that those who participated in this operation remain piling in the Plains of Perdition until they receive orders to do otherwise. Additional pilers are not needed, so those who did not participate in the operation should remain in their respective regions.

Some level of participation will be expected for Z-Day if you sign-up.

What does the Z-Day Taskforce do?

You'll be helping the Consulate plan our strategy and activities in relation to Z-Day this year, including but not necessarily limited to,
  • Deciding/advising on regional policies (such as ejections/border control or lack thereof) during Z-Day.
  • Planning our response and deciding who will be designated leaders for the duration of the event itself.
  • Working on activities and awards relating to Z-Day this year.

This is a very open-ended taskforce- If you want to help more with pre-event preparations but have obligations that prevent you from participating to the fullest on Z-Day (30-31 October), please do not be dissuaded from signing up- Every contribution helps!

Weekend Liberation: The International UN
Earlier this week, The International UN was the subject of an occupation force led by raiders and their allies seeking to destroy the region. Despite a rough start to the siege, the LDF fielded 23 Minutemen to the region, contributing greatly to the successful liberation on the third attempt. in particular contributed heavily, and all participating members are hereby awarded the below ribbon. It will be added to the LDF Profiles & Honors dispatch tomorrow.
Thank you to those who participated, enlisted members and civilians alike. To the citizens who participated, I encourage you to sign up for the military, as it is an easy committment and allows you to serve the region in a critical way, and gain promotions/recognition within The League & Concord.

2 Years as Chief Consul


Thank you for all your messages of congratulation. I never thought that I would have been the Chief Consul of the Republic, let alone for two years. In these two years, I've helped establish the regional recruitment program, managed the monthly Council nomination process, created the reinvigorated Orders of the Republic, and helped the regional TRA Roleplay grow to where it is today.

I am now the third consul to serve for over two years and the second Chief Consul, after Quebecshire, to reach this milestone. It's been an honor being able to serve the community for as long as I have in my currently role and I look forward to continuing to serve as Chief Consul for as long as I possibly can.]]> [Image: QHclgrG.png]

RaiderCon Occupation Thwarted, New LDF Ribbon Earlier today raiders attempted a large-scale occupation for their annual "RaiderCon" festival. Given the brazen nature of their attempt, we were able to prepare extensively for this operation.

The true target for RaiderCon was Nevadia, and raiders were defeated in the target thanks to defender planning allowing our forces to move in comfortably before and alongside raiders. As a result, raiders were forced to frantically pivot to a target of much less stragetic relevance, a hollow victory in the face of their failures today. Of our nine attendees, seven were able to stay long enough throughout the operations to participate in the battle for Nevadia, earning them our newest LDF Honor. Please congratulate them, and to those awarded, feel free to add it to your forum signatures or otherwise display it (I will add it to the LDF Profiles in the near future).
