Roleplayer of the Year: Awarded to the individual who has shown the most dedication to worldbuilding and roleplay over the past year.

LDF Member of the Year: Awarded to the individual who has shown the most dedication to participating in the LDF over the past year. LDF officers are not included (eligible) for this award.

Politician of the Year: Awarded to the individual who has shown the most dedication to regional government over the past year.

Newcomer of the Year: Awarded to the most dedicated individual who joined the community within the past year.

Terraconserva Award: Awarded to three individuals who have been active in roleplay over the past year.

LDF Award: Awarded to three individuals who have been active in the LDF over the past year.

Welcomer Award: Awarded to an individual who has gone out of their way to help newcomers get involved in the community.

Quote of the Year: Awarded to an individual to which a particularly memorable quote from the past year can be attributed to.

Welcome to the 10th Anniversary Awards! The 10th Anniversary Awards are a great celebration of how far our community has come over the past 10 years, the great things we have managed to do, and the amazing ways we hope to keep growing. This community has become a leader in a variety of ways, including our great military, defending those regions in need, our amazing role-play, with over 50 active nations, and our awesome and ever-growing community itself. The community has also fostered great leadership, with our Consuls and Chief Consul continuing the amazing work of those who came before, as we strive to help move The League and Concord into another great year!

Note: For all intents and purposes, the 'past year' in award descriptions refers to the period ranging from April 1, 2025 to the present.

Awards will be split into two categories - those that will be voted on and non-voting awards. The awards shown in the nominatio are awards in which you're free to nominate others for, and then from April 14 through the 16th you'll be able to vote on who wins these awards from the list of those nominated. On the contrast, the non-voting awards will be awarded to individuals based on specific measurable feats/contributions, and won't be up for a vote. These awards (and their winners) won't be announced until April 17.

The Antique Tea Cup Channel

Most of the time when I ask the question of where and who made what I am using to eat or drink, the answer is not very surprising.
But today, I was drinking out of a most unusual cup, and it intrigued me enough as to look for who made it. You see, this cup had a feature that has been out of fashion for over a century, it has a guard over the cup meant to protect a gentleman’s mustache from hot tea.

I flipped over the rather large saucer to check for markings and quickly found the following.

“DERBY” (indented)
“II☉” (indented)
A logo depicting a crown above what I would come to learn as being two Ds
“CHATSWORTH”
A box containing “RdN 56463”
A strange symbol with three solid Ts at different orientations embedded into a crescent
A "5" (rather faded)

I suspected that a resource to identify the cup would exist, and found one with "RCD collections" (here). That homepage links off to a subpage on factory marks which states that it mostly pertains to 1927 through 1961 factory marks for ware produced specifically at Osmaston Road Works. However it contains a reproduction of a table of general date markings from the Royal Crown Derby website. While the indentations briefly confused me, as they looked like they could be year markings, I discarded them believing them to be related to some other element of the manufacture in favor of the painted mark at the bottom of the logo.

Those show our symbol as marking this piece as being from 1887!

And, we can see a cup (here) that a seller is putting out as being a 1890s Imari pattern by Royal Crown Derby uses the same flowers!
Which fits, they must've reused the flowers when Imari became popular!

There is actually a museum of Royal Crown Derby wares, I might contact them to check if we correctly identified this :>

In what proved to be a decisive victory, Moon/Grea Kriopia swept their way to the Goldenblock with 49 (73.1%) votes against the opposing Gem/Kazaman ticket’s 18 (26.9%) votes. The two polls conducted by the Europeian Broadcasting Corporation predicted a strong Moon/Grea Kriopia victory and they indeed did not look back after taking an early lead when voting opened.

President Moon and Vice President Grea Kriopia has already hit the ground running, with a live EBC Radio show shortly after the election’s end revealing the highly experienced group of Ministers that will be under their direction for the next 70 days:

I would like to begin by acknowledging the outstanding work of my predecessor, Entropan, during her relatively brief but impactful tenure as Director of Internal Affairs, playing a significant role in revitalizing the Question of the Day and making substantial contributions to the recruitment program.

As the new director, I will continue the initiatives started by Entropan, with a focus on our beloved recruitment program, ensuring it remains active and effective. Moreover, I will strengthen the regional economy by introducing new incentives that encourage wider participation in TL&C’s activities and ensure that contributors are fairly compensated. Although my appointment may be temporary, I want to make it clear that I will do my best to serve the office and the republic to the best of my abilities.

Immediately, I thank my predecessor in this role, New San Antonio, for his splendid role in getting the recruitment program up and running again, and introducing the economy system. I dearly look forward to building on the strong foundations that have been set already. And I thank Chief Consul Kivu, Consul Gagium, and Consul Spode, for giving me a superb opportunity to get further involved in the regional government and serve the community I’ve been a part of for the better part of the past three years.

My priority will be on workshopping an overhaul of the economy system. In order for payment to act as an incentive for people to get involved with recruitment, the money has to amount to something. While I don’t wish to repeat the failures that caused the economy to be removed last time, I will actively look into ways to make it more interactive, looking at exemplary and less exemplary economies from abroad, and integrating a plan that I hope to formalise by the turn of the year. I look forward to working with the Internal Deputies in achieving this, as well as making the Question of the Day system more sustainable long-term, with broader input. And finally, as a matter that I discussed during the elections for Speaker in August, I’ll finally be looking into establishing a statutory basis for paying members of the League’s Defence Forces for participation in operations, working with Chief Consul Kivu and General New Makasta towards that end. Preamble: Recognising the existence of the zombie pandemic, spread at horrifying speeds throughout the multiverse for a gruelling 36 hours beginning on October the 31st,

Commending the work of those nations diligent in preparing for the spread, including Consul Spode Humbled Minions, with his establishment of the Blue Chevron organisation, which has undertaken incredible research and deployed immense resources to protect the denizens of Concord from the pandemic,

Alarmed, however, of the critical gap in the regional response to the pandemic, one left unfilled by any other citizen of our Republic; of the other region united under our community, The League,

Remembering those killed by the pandemic due to unfortunately strained resources, while committing ourselves to providing for the regional infrastructure to ensure a swifter and less centralised response to the pandemic,

The Government of The League and Concord hereby:

Part One: General principles

Defines, in relation to national strategies to combat the pandemic–

a “curative strategy” as a strategy adopted by a national health system dedicating itself to research on a cure for those infected by the zombie virus,
a “passive strategy” as the absence of an adopted strategy in response to the pandemic by a national health system,
an “antihuman strategy” as a strategy adopted by an overwhelmed national health system breaking down entirely, with zombified authority figures dedicating themselves to spreading the virus in contravention of explicitly recommended best practice, and,
an “exterminative strategy” as a strategy adopted by a national government dedicating itself to the violent eradication of the zombified.

Defines, in relation to the resources available for individual nations throughout the pandemic–

a “cure missile” as a medical agent which disperses a cure unto another nation via aerial bombardment,
a “tactical zombie elimination squad” as a military deployment used to murder those zombified in other nations, and,
a “zombie horde” as a weapon used to release those infected unto other nations in order to artificially increase suffering elsewhere.

Regards the official policy of the Republic regarding response to the pandemic to be a curative strategy, involving the maximisation of survivors and the minimisation of both the dead and zombified by the end of the pandemic.

Part Two: Dual-unitary structures

Understands the Republic’s constituent regions as necessitating separate responses to the pandemic due to the impossibility of deploying cure missiles cross-border.

Dedicates the response teams of the Republic to a Dual Health Strategy, in which, while each region coordinates its own health response individually, interregional cooperation is utilised to most effectively distribute resources and materials across the two regions.

Establishes, for the explicit purpose of managing an interregional response to the pandemic, a public health committee, under which membership is granted on the conditions of–

the prospective candidate directly applying for membership through the recognised route,
their membership of the public health committee not being reasonably objected to by the Consulate, and,
their possession of at least one nation in The League and/or Concord.

Understands the mandate of the public health committee to include–

the dissemination of propaganda in furthering an interregional curative strategy and outcome,
the coordination of a generalised strategy against the pandemic, ensuring that both regional response teams are equipped against viral infection, and,
whichever competences are bestowed unto it in practice.

Establishes, for the purpose of managing the individual responses of The League and Concord to the pandemic, two separate rapid response teams, with membership determined under the same conditions as the public health committee, and their tasks including–

coordinating resources to most efficiently achieve the curative goal,
disseminating materials to those in their region through personal communications and other means to discourage crimes against public health,
messaging those in their region maintaining passive strategies to encourage the widespread dedication of resources to cure research, and,
gathering information on crimes against public health committed in their region for report to the proper authorities.

Regards neither of the individual rapid response teams as concrete institutions, understanding their establishment to be subordinate to the overall curative goal.

Part Three: Quarantine

Defines ‘quarantine’ as the complete closure of a region to foreign visitors in the course of an efficient response to the public health crisis.

Establishes the right for either regional rapid response team to present a 'Crisis Motion' to the Consulate in the course of the public health crisis, in which quarantine is recommended due to sustained, outwards attacks on an effective response, including but not limited to–

a mass deployment of puppet nations, with the effect of artificially increasing their deployed region's number of zombified or dead residents or slowing down regional progress towards the fulfilment of a curative strategy through either time spent curing their residents or banning and ejecting these nations, and,
the terrorisation of other nations through the deployment of tactical zombie elimination squads or zombie hordes by a mass of newly-moved nations.

Understands the right of Crisis Motion for either or both regions to belong to the public health committee in a situation where activity or circumstance has resulted in the non-establishment of one or both regional rapid response teams.

Part Four: Crimes against public health

Creates a new category of criminal offence, to be termed “crimes against public health”, prosecuted during the course of the pandemic, reported by the rapid response teams and/or public health committee.

Establishes the crime against public health of “malcompliance”, to be defined as an act with which a nation within The League or Concord rejects the recommended policy and chooses either an antihuman or exterminative strategy with regards to dealing with the pandemic.

Establishes the crime against public health of “malicious interference”, to be defined as an act with which a nation within The League or Concord deploys tactical zombie elimination squads, or zombie hordes, to other nations.

Establishes the crime against public health of “malicious neutrality”, to be defined as an act where a nation is moved into The League or Concord during the course of the pandemic, a move which any reasonable person would view as an attempt to slow down the pandemic response or artificially inflate the number of zombified or dead.

Rocket Bot Resolution (TL&C - STL)

Preamble

Under the starry skies of Luminesa and the towering summits of Franconia, the Luminous Triarchy of Starlight and the Republic of The League and Concord have come together as one to affirm their shared values and friendship, exemplified by their shared commitment to defender values, but most importantly by their joint passion for the game Rocket Bot Royale, enshrined in the following declaration:

Article I - Mutual Recognition

The Luminous Triarchy of Starlight recognizes only the legitimate government of The League & Concord as determined by the Constitution of the Republic.
The League & Concord recognizes the Triune Circle of the Luminous Triarchy of Starlight, and any legally designated successor, as the sole legitimate government of Starlight.

Article II - Military Cooperation

The signatories agree to provide military defense and support for each other’s legitimate government, as well as any legally recognized territories or protected regions, upon request. Under no circumstance will a signatory provide aid (either tangible or intangible) to any aggressor acting against the legitimate government of a signatory or any of its territories.
The signatories will share any intelligence relating to each other’s security, and are encouraged to share other intelligence when prudent.
The signatories will refrain from engaging in clandestine operations, espionage, or other forms of spying against each other.
The signatories shall aid each other in delegacy transitions when requested.
The signatories will engage in military cooperation when deemed practical and mutually beneficial.

Article III - Cultural Cooperation

The signatories declare their shared commitment to Rocket Bot Royale.
The signatories shall endeavor to host joint cultural events or festivals when deemed practical and mutually beneficial.
The signatories shall invite each other to their respective cultural events.
When hosting cultural events, sanctioned groups determined by both signatories shall be excluded from participation.

Article IV - World Assembly Collaboration

The signatories will endeavor to support each other in the World Assembly when it is mutually beneficial.
The signatories are compelled to support proposals authored or co-authored by each other’s members, except when in contradiction of other binding agreements or when opposed to the interests of the signatory.

Article V. Ratification and Withdrawal

This treaty will be considered in effect upon ratification by both signatories according to their internal traditions and customs.
This treaty may be amended by mutual consent from both signatories, and any amendments will be considered in effect once ratified by both signatories.
Either signatory may withdraw from this treaty and nullify its agreements in compliance with their internal traditions and customs. In the event of a withdrawal, the signatory is encouraged to inform the other of its withdrawal in a timely manner.

The Republic of The League and Concord

First of all, much thanks is due to the Consulate in the auspices of Chief Consul Kivu, Consul Spode, and Consul Gagium for honoring the Council of the Republic's petition and for appointing me to the role of Director of Roleplay. I will do my best to live up to their expectations. Having a lengthy history of service with The League and Concord's government and community, this new role is one I feel prepared for. I will do my best to make the TL&C roleplay a fun, interactive experience.

As Director, I want to say first off, that the functionality of the roleplay will not change much, our RP staff, will still be RP staff, the wiki will still be the wiki, and tra-general will stay tra-general. I have some ideas for RP events that will be refined and may be implemented soon, only the structure is slightly changing. I look forward to seeing where I can take the Roleplaying community in our community.

Outgoing President Andusre and Vice President SkyGreen won re-election in September polls on a flipped ticket, with SkyGreen now rising to the role of President and Andusre taking on the duties of the Vice President. Their re-election was hard-earned, with the option to Re-Open Elections briefly taking the lead; however, at the time the polls closed, 34 voters (52%) voted to re-elect the pair, while only 31 voted to re-open elections. That the Department of Roleplay will be under the official administration of a Director of Roleplay, appointed at the Consulate's discretion.
That the administration of in-character Roleplay aspects, such as languages, cultures, and military conflicts, as well out-of-character aspects, such as the processing of applications, the organization of Roleplay events, and moderation will be a Roleplay Oversight Committee.
That members of the Roleplay Oversight Committee will be appointed by the Director of Roleplay, and may be removed at their discretion.

Preamble: Respecting the historic significance of CRL 4 – An Act to Clarify Crimes Against the Republic; and CRL 25 – An Act to Repeal CRL 4 and to Reform The League's Definition of Crimes Against the Republic in first establishing as criminal offence those acts which threaten to severely damage the institutions and governance of the Republic,

Realising that, following the repeal of CRL 25 by the Omnibus Council Legislative Reform and Reorganisation Act, there remains no in-force legislation criminalising acts of this matter,

Believing that, were the contents of this Act updated to fit modern legislative standards, it would provide important legal foundation for the prosecution of those who act against the interests of the Republic;

The Government of The League and Concord hereby:

Part I: General principles

Creates a new category of criminal offence, to be termed a “crime against the Republic”, to consist of those actions which threaten the effectiveness of the institutions of governance in The League & Concord and the principles that underline the Constitution of the Republic;

Upholds sentencing for conviction of any crime against the Republic to be up to the discretion of the Consulate of the Republic, fulfilling their constitutional role as the judiciary.

Part II: Subversion

Defines the crime against the Republic of 'subversion' as the usage of several accounts on any platform to obtain several identities within the Republic without proper declaration and approval from relevant authorities;

Understands a person to not be committing the crime of ‘subversion’ if they deploy, site-wise, two nations; one deployed in The League, and one in Concord, unless they obtain World Assembly membership on one without endorsing the legitimate delegacy of the region concerned;

Part III: Distribution of classified information

Defines the crime against the Republic of ‘distribution of classified information’ as spreading classified governmental information to those without adequate clearance;

Understands ‘classified governmental information’ as automatically including information spread in private messaging channels for government officials, except if—

a member of the executive government of the Republic explicitly and provably states that the information is permitted to be spread through public channels,
the information is within the public interest with regards to the activities of the Council of the Republic while its public distribution does not in any way damage the Republic’s foreign relations or internal security, or,
the information, shared prudently, is directly related to the prosecution of undue behaviour of governmental officials and/or Council Delegates.

Enacts that, in order for any document to be considered 'classified governmental information', the qualifications of and/or persons to whom the document is solely allowed to be viewed by and shared amongst must be explicitly stated on the document itself, with a provable and datable record as to the classification;

Declares classified information contained within a document permissible to be spread to individuals without clearance if the information contained, shared prudently, is directly relevant to the legal argument as to allegations of a crime against the Republic against any individual.

Part IV: Sedition

Defines the crime against the Republic of ‘sedition’ as spreading disinformation with the intent to disrupt, damage, subvert, or destroy the legitimate government of the Republic and/or its regions;

Defines ‘disinformation’ as false or misleading information spread with the intention to be taken as true;

Enacts that, in order for any person to be convicted of the crime of sedition, the disinformation they had spread must be—

in regards to the Republic, its government, regular citizens, actions, and/or officials,
harmful to the Republic, its government, regular citizens, actions, and/or officials, and,
spread in such a manner that a reasonable person would not view it as humorous.

Part V: Treason

Defines the crime against the Republic of ‘treason’ as behaviour consistent with other crimes against the Republic provably conducted in collusion with foreign agent(s) and/or foreign government(s) with the intention to disrupt, damage, subvert, or destroy the legitimate government of the Republic and/or its regions;

While cognizant of the differing responses trials in which the nature of the actors to whom the crime was committed in favour of will have in regards to foreign relations, understands the following not to be relevant to trials for the crime of treason—

the frequency of contact between the defendant and the foreign agent(s) and/or foreign government(s) they were acting in collusion with,
whether the defendant was acting on advice, instructions, or their own provable understanding of what would further the interests of the foreign agent(s) and/or foreign government(s), and,
the identity or identities of the foreign agent(s) and/or foreign government(s) the defendant was acting to further the interests of.

Part VI: Bribery

Defines the crime against the Republic of ‘bribery’ in five cases, of which a trial for this crime shall constitute any one;

Enacts the first case as where a regional official requests, agrees to receive or accepts a social or other advantage, from a person or group intending, in consequence, for one or more relevant function(s) or activities required of the proper performance of their role be performed improperly;

Enacts the second case as where a regional official requests, agrees to receive or accepts a social or other advantage as a reward for improper performance of one or more relevant function(s) or activities required of the proper performance of their role;

Enacts the third case as where, in anticipation of or in consequence of the request, agreement to receive, or acceptance of a social or other advantage, one or more relevant function(s) or activities required of the proper performance of any aspect of the regional government is performed improperly by a regional official, upon their request, or with assent or acquiescence;

Enacts the fourth case as where a person offers, promises, or gives a social or other advantage to a regional official, intending the advantage to induce the officeholder in the improper performance of one or more relevant function(s) or activities required of the proper performance of their role;

Enacts the fifth case as where a person offers, promises, or gives a social or other advantage to a regional official, with the acceptance of the advantage being known or believed to in itself constitute the improper performance of one or more relevant function(s) or activities required of the proper performance of their role;

Understands it to not be relevant in the first case as to whether the regional official to whom the advantage is offered, promised or given to is the same person as the regional official who is to perform, or who has performed, the function(s) or activities concerned.

Defines a ‘regional official’ as a person entrusted into a revocable position of legislative, cultural, or governmental significant in the Republic’s internal forum and government.

Part VII: Sabotage

Defines the crime against the Republic of ‘sabotage’ as any act in which a person provably intends to or does engage in conduct which severely damages the ability of those parties with access to communicate effectively using the Republic’s own communication channels, without a clear, provable mandate from the Council of the Republic or Consulate;

Understands "damage" to include the following (whether permanent or temporary)–

the destruction of a communication channel or several,
interference in editing those communications sent through a channel or several,
the alteration of the foundational characteristics of a channel or several,
loss of or reduction in access or availability of a communication channel or several to other parties permitted by law or executive decision to such access, and,
loss of or reduction in the function, utility, or reliability of a communication channel or several.

Part VIII: Obstruction of justice

Defines the crime against the Republic of ‘obstruction of justice’ as any act in which a person provably intends to or does engage in conduct with the intent to obfuscate their involvement in another crime or to obfuscate the investigation of a crime or to hinder the prosecution of a crime;

Realises those acts that may be included under 'obstruction of justice' as including but not limited to–

providing false testimony about an individual to any governmental figure responsible for the investigation of crimes against the Republic,
destroying or attempting to conceal evidence regarding a crime against the Republic from any governmental figure responsible for investigating such crimes,
inducing an individual to testify falsely or to withhold testimony from responsible authorities, and,
using any position of authority they may have to misdirect, mislead, or otherwise delay an investigation of crimes against the Republic.
